ABOUT ME
My journey as an Usher fan started in 1995........I was at home chillin, watching t.v. and doing homework like the average elementary school student does. Then I video came on and I was feeling this singers smooth voice, so I looked up and there was a shiny suit wearing, s-curl having young Usher. I was instantly hooked, and have been ever since. Throughout my teenage years I was the girl with Usher plastered in my locker at school and a room full of Usher equipped with everything including the wall clock, bedspreed, and handbags curteousy of E-bay lmao. I had BOXES of VHS tapes (Yes VHS tapes, this was be4 DVR and TiVo lol) where I had recorded Ush T.V. performances over things as weddings and family reunuions. I could remember times where I would stay in the UsherWorld chatroom until 6am, go to school at 8am, fall to sleep in class, and then come home to do it all over again. Now that I'm older, I still have that same admiration, but in a more mature way. So when Ush describes his music as a journey, I can relate. "Usher" was the young puppy love stage, "My Way" was that pre-teen crush stage where nothing was permanent and I could leave the one I was with, "8701" was that early teen stage where parties were my world, and nothing really mattered but having fun and doing what I wanted to do, "Confessions" was the late teen years when I experienced being in love with someone, heartache, and betrayal all for the first time, and "Here I Stand" is current day maturity and all the responsibilities that go with it.......A journey it has been, and I just thank Usher for creating the soundtrack 2 it lol.....
